Expand Your Expertise: On-Campus and Online Learning

The Human Anatomy Learning Laboratory (H.A.L.L.) is committed to making high-level anatomical education accessible to healthcare professionals, students, and lifelong learners. Our continuing education courses bridge the gap between academic theory and clinical mastery, offering flexible pathways to enhance skills. When you join us on campus for immersive, hands-on study, you will gain a unique understanding of the human body that textbooks alone cannot provide.
Courses
Cadaveric Anatomy: A Review for Physical Therapists and Other Healthcare Professionals
Duration: Half-day course
When: TBA

Hip, Knee, and Ankle: An In-Depth Review Through Dissection and Microscopy
Duration: One 6-hour session, with online materials provided prior to onsite laboratory experience.
When: TBA
Cost: TBD
Description: This course provides opportunities for immersive, hands-on exploration of the gross and microanatomy of the hip, knee, and ankle. Through guided dissections and real-time microscopy, the structures and tissues of these joints are reviewed in the context of the essential roles they play in functional movements. At the macro-level, special emphasis is given to how their evolved morphology supports their functional biomechanics. At the micro-level, our analysis will focus on the constituent cell types, their specializations and cytoarchitectonics, and how they provide the tissue mechanics needed for healthy joint function. In this context, development of joint structures across the lifespan, common mechanisms of injuries, and common pathologies will be reviewed.

The Aging Patient: An In-Depth Review of Typical Changes in Some Key Organ Systems of the Body Through Dissection and Microscopy
Duration: One 6-hour session, with online materials provided prior to onsite laboratory experience.
When: TBA
Cost: TBD
Description: This course explores the observable changes in the human body at both the level of the organ systems and their constituent tissues. Systems reviewed include the integumentary, musculoskeletal, heart, lung, liver, and kidneys. Through guided dissections and real-time microscopy changes in organ structures and tissues associated with normal aging and common pathologies will be identified and analyzed. Special emphasis will be given to reviewing the impact these changes have on function, healing, and response to healthcare interventions for patients.
